Beautiful Barn Wedding Venues London

Niche London String Quartet love to travel, especially when we are hired to play wedding music at beautiful barn wedding venues just outside of London! Read on to find out more about the best barn wedding venues and Niche Quartet wedding performances just outside of London. We look forward to playing at these venues again for our latest 2019 and 2020 wedding entertainment bookings!

Blake Hall – Ongar, Essex

The London String Quartet played for many memorable Essex wedding venues last year including 2 at the just too perfect Blake Hall. Brides and grooms who booked Niche London Quartet had their wedding ceremony in the Hay Barn. Our wedding musicians sit up on the beautiful glass fronted balcony and the music floats up into the beams, over the top of the guests creating the perfect welcoming atmosphere.

Then imagine the magic of walking in to Niche Quartet’s perfect rendition of Pachelbel’s Canon in D to all your friends and family and the love of your life waiting for you at the end of the aisle.

Our beautiful 2018 bride Kendal chose our string quartet for her wedding and wrote a 5 star review on our Facebook page!

We booked Niche London String Quartet for our wedding at Blake Hall in November and couldn’t have been happier!! The correspondence ahead of the day was extremely helpful and professional and the music played was just stunning! It set the scene perfectly for our ceremony and drinks reception and we received so many compliments from family and friends. We would be delighted to recommend – thank you again!”

Niche String Quartet then played our modern wedding music mix which carried across the sunlit gardens for the wedding reception. The perfect upbeat start to the celebratory vibe for the afternoon!

Gaynes Park – Epping, Essex

Gaynes Park is another beautiful barn setting just outside London, perfect for a stunning wedding ceremony in their orangery with wedding reception right next door in the gardens. Niche have played at this barn for weddings throughout the years as string quartet and also string trio. The Orangery is a light and airy large space with the perfect nook for the wedding musicians to play in. The music welcomes guests as they enter through the big double doors. Brides and grooms love to have the quartet play classical music for a tradition feel to match the pretty rustic setting. Once the real celebrations begin and the doors are thrown open to the gardens Niche Quartet can create the perfect fun atmosphere playing their latest mix of fun pop and modern wedding music!

Tewin Bury Farm – Welwyn, Hertfordshire

Tewin Bury Farm provides one of the most perfect rustic barn wedding venues in Hertfordshire with the River Mimram flowing next to the window. There is also a one of a kind minstrel’s gallery set high in the beams. This is the perfect spot for the string quartet to play with the music floating over the top of the gallery. Niche London String Quartet can create the most beautiful and perfect atmosphere to match the 17th century setting.

Our Spring 2018 bride Frankie was a violinist herself and also Manager of the London Symphony Orchestra. With her experienced musical ear she hired Niche London String Quartet to play for her wedding ceremony and reception at Tewin Bury Farm in The Tythe Barn. She asked the string quartet to play classical wedding favourites such as Air in G and Bach’s Double Violin Concerto to welcome guests. She then asked our wedding musicians to learn and prepare her favourite piece ‘Marry Me’ from classic film My Best Friend’s Wedding for her walk down the aisle. It was perfectly romantic with plenty of happy tears from the bride, groom and her guests – One of Niche Quartet’s highlights of 2018!

Great Fosters – Egham, Surrey

Once again another perfect barn wedding venue hidden away just outside London right near the M25! Often the alumnae of nearby grand university Royal Holloway will get married at their breathtaking chapel nearby. They then follow on with their wedding celebrations at the nearby stylish and rustic Great Fosters Hotel. The Painted Hall is a wonderful setting for their wedding reception and then The Tithe Barn is perfect for a beautiful wedding breakfast.

In autumn Niche London String Trio played for a couple’s wedding where the groom is a videographer and so naturally their theme was film music based! They found plenty to love on our repertoire lists ranging from memorable Disney tunes to their favourite action film soundtracks. When the couple were announced to the room as the new Mr & Mrs for the wedding breakfast we played The Royal Fireworks music, perfect to match the rustic and grand barn lit by candles and fairy-lights. Then guests where thrilled as the string trio switched straight into the instantly recognisable Game of Throne theme tune following with brilliant soundtrack after soundtrack. The Jurassic Park theme song was a big hit as well with several guests coming to film our performance in-between meal courses!

Super busy Musicians for Events!

May has been so incredibly busy – just this week Niche – The London String Quartet have been travelling all across London to provide entertainment for corporate parties, champagne receptions, and weddings! We have also been putting together all the special requests of music for our June bookings.

Mid-week Niche Quartet travelled to the city to provide musical entertainment for ITG’s office party. Niche entertained guests throughout the 3hr party with a mix of classical and popular music. Everybody was having a great time!

We also went to The Chelsea Flower Show to provide music for corporate events at the stunning Great Hall the Royal Hospital Chelsea. We provided an energy filled performance of classical music for the first half of the champagne reception to welcome guests to the luxurious surroundings. Then for the 2nd half we performed a mixture of jazz, film music and of course our favourite chart hits as guests enjoyed canapés. Once again lovely guests took the time to come and thank us and say how much they enjoyed the music as they headed home after a great evening!

Last weekend Niche London Quartet visited the gorgeous countryside wedding venue Gaynes Park Barns to play wedding music for a wedding reception with a view. The bride had provided us with the list of songs she wanted to hear from our repertoire list and we went to work thrilling and entertaining her guests in the sunshine. We finished with our Queen Medley and some lovely guests came over to say they thought we were fabulous and amazing 🙂

We have been having a great time providing entertainment for corporate events and weddings across London venues and are looking forward to all the wedding music and event entertainment we are providing in June – our busiest month yet!

Niche London Quartet travel for idilic Countryside Weddings!

Towards the latter half of our very busy August Niche The London String Quartet travelled out of London for wedding music in lovely leafy Hertfordshire and Essex…

On the August Bank Holiday Saturday Niche London String Trio journeyed together to the beautiful wedding of Lucy in Marks Hall, Coggeshall, Essex. The plan was to perform our wedding music favourites in the grand Main Hall where the guests arrived from the ceremony for the wedding reception. We serenaded them with classics such as Pachelbel’s Canon, The Vivaldi Four Seasons (very apt with the unpredictable English summer weather!), waltz’s, Bach and more. The wedding guests mingled and drank champagne until they were seated for the speeches, after which we changed our repertoire to our fun modern string arrangements such as Paradise and Coldplay, our brand new Abba and Queen Medleys, Jason Mraz, Bruno Mars and more!
Numerous guests came over to us whilst playing to ask for requests, which we were happy to provide as of course we have our extra special Niche Jukebox entertainment package perfect for keeping your guests entertained though-out your wedding!

As the String Trio left the guests and Newlyweds burst into applause, showing us that everyone had loved and enjoyed our work – an excellent gig for the London String Trio out in the countryside!

On the last Saturday of August Niche String Quartet travelled out of London to the wedding ceremony venue The Church of St. Peter and Paul in Little Gaddesdon, Hertfordshire. This beautiful church was absolutely stunning and historical – dating back to 1808, the perfect setting for us to play the romantic wedding music the bride and groom had chosen. We began playing Pre-Ceremony music – classical wedding favourites such as The Air on the G string by Bach, Faure’s Pavane  and Pachelbel’s Canon as the wedding guests entered.

Using our special arrangement service Claire asked that we prepare an arrangement of ‘Story Book of Love’ from the film ‘the Princess Bride’ for her entrance. The perfect romantic wedding song for her big moment that she’d dreamed of walking down the aisle to for years!

The signing of the register began with a local choir from St.Albans  – 30 members strong singing the lyrical masterpiece ‘For the Beauty of the Earth’.  The second half of the signing Niche Quartet played the Brandenburg 3 final movement to spice things up – perfect to portray the excitement of the big moment! We love the Brandenburg!

We then travelled across to the Hertfordshire wedding reception venue in Beechwood Park to play a mixture of our Classical Repertoire and Pop repertoire whilst guests enjoyed Drinks and Canapes in the beautiful grounds.

Niche Quartet had a beautiful day playing wedding music for the ceremony and reception in such lovely venues – thrilling such friendly and happy guests!

All the best to our happy August Newlyweds!
