Niche The London String Quartet had such a lovely summer playing at all different types of weddings across London and the South East – we visited some of our favourite wedding venues and lots of new ones too!

In August we played for 15 weddings, providing music as guests arrived and our clients chose a wide range of wedding ceremony music for our string quartet or trio musicians to play – big wedding ceremony music favourites was one of our latest additions “Rather Be” and also romantic John Legend song “All of Me” – See Our All of Me video here

Niche Quartet played lots of fun modern music for the wedding receptions – and guests had a great time recognising their favourite songs, but of course presented in our fabulous string quartet fashion!

Our string quartet in London also played some great entrance music choices for the announcement of the new Mr&Mrs to their wedding breakfasts – We had a range of modern favourites by Oasis and the Foo Fighters to older favourites like The Beatles Here Comes the Sun.

We’ve really enjoyed summer and now can’t wait to play music for all the Autumn weddings and big corporate events we have booked – we have 6 Winter weddings in the run up to Christmas booked so far and can’t wait to get out our Christmas music to provide entertainment at all the London Christmas Events Niche String Quartet play for!

Summer has been so busy with corporate summer parties being entertained by our Niche Jukebox package, beautiful weddings all across London being serenaded with our string quartet wedding music and all the new modern music requests we have written and learned so our Niche couples can personalise their big day!

June was a record breaking month for the number of events we entertained at….then July broke that record straight away with Niche London String Quartet providing entertainment at events at Wrest Park, The In and Out, Grove House, Chiswick Park, Highclere, Inn the Park St James Park (Twice!), Richmond Hill Hotel, The National Gallery, Fitzroy Square, the Landmark London and lots of beautiful churches for wedding ceremony music around London!

We also had some lovely feedback from happy corporate clients and couples:

Niche London String Quartet has had such a busy period at the start of the year that our musicians haven’t even had chance to update our blog for a long time!

Our string quartet musicians have travelled around London playing for weddings at fabulous venues like Hawksmoor in the city, One Great George Street,  Richmond Hill Hotel, and Hampton Court House to name a few.  We also traveled outside London to Buckinghamshire to play at the very picturesque Woburn Abbey and gorgeous Newland Manor and visited Beaumont House in the sunshine in Surrey! Of course we mustn’t forget to mention the beautiful 80th birthday party the string quartet played for in the wonderful surroundings of Claridges where the guests enjoyed our classical music  and treated the musicians they hired to a round of applause!

We have many things to look forward to in the next couple of months and summer – first of all releasing our videos and recordings from our film shoot day at Stationers Hall at the beginning of May and of course all the fantastic bookings for events, Summer weddings, concerts and corporate parties that have chosen Niche London String Quartet to entertain the guests!

The quartet have just come back from playing at a lovely wedding ceremony and reception at One Great George Street in the heart of Westminster this weekend…we’ll tell you more about that later, their special request and how their guests were thrilled…but here is a bit of a throwback post showing why we love playing at weddings so much!

Niche London String Quartet and Trio received a lovely message from one of our happy brides (and new Mrs!) – we created an arrangement of The Cure’s Just Like Heaven to be played during the ceremony, as the happy couple were becoming officially Man and Wife. It was a beautiful wedding with beautiful string wedding music to match in the University Women’s Club Library, Mayfair.

Here is some of what Jacqueline had to say,

“I just wanted to say we were absolutely blown away by you guys during our ceremony and could not be happier with the music. The Cure arrangement was so beautiful and special to us, thank you.”

We really enjoy playing for weddings, but hearing back from our clients and knowing that we made their day really is the best feeling!

2013 truly was a wonderful year for Niche London String Quartet in and outside of London! We played at so many wonderful wedding venues, providing music for ceremonies, receptions and wedding breakfasts. For some weddings we worked as the full quartet or we performed as our equally popular string trio option. We also enjoyed providing entertainment for many corporate events and launch parties in stunning london venues across town!

This winter Niche – The London String Quartet have been playing for lovely winter wedding music in some of London’s finest wedding venues! Here are 2 more examples of London Love with Niche Quartet!

Niche London Quartet aptly were playing in the gorgeous Music Room at The Ritz for Dave and James’ wedding reception and wedding breakfast. As the newly weds entered the room to cheers we played the chorus of All You Need is Love, then followed by the couple’s special arrangement request, the super up-tempo Bad Romance! For the rest of the evening we thrilled guests with our repertoire of chart hits and favourite wedding music numbers.

Huge congratulations to Dave and James on their beautiful and joyous wedding!

Our latest wedding music performance was in the stunning One Whitehall Place – Niche London String Quartet serenaded Sue, Sanjay and their guests during their wedding ceremony and wedding reception with classical wedding favourites such as Pachelbel’s Canon mixed with modern greats such as ‘I’m Yours’, ‘All You Need is Love’ and ‘Viva La Vida’!  Perfect up-tempo and happy wedding music choices from our repertoire list to capture the fun of their big day!
